Homemade Buster Bar Dessert Recipe



Ingredients:
  • 1 package Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 stick butter, melted
  • 1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 1.5 C salted peanuts
  • 1/2 C powdered sugar
  • 2/3 C chocolate chips
  • 1.5 C evaporated milk
  • 1/2 C butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
  1. Mix crushed cookies and melted butter. Press mixture into a 9×13 pan. Stick in the freezer for a few minutes to harden up.
  2. Spread softened (just soft enough to spread, but not all melty) ice cream on top of the hardened cookie layer.
  3. Top with salted peanuts and return to the freezer.
  4. While those layers are in the freezer, make the topping (*note: if you do not want to make the topping from scratch, I’m sure you could substitute for a jar of fudge topping). For the topping, boil the sugar, chocolate chips, evaporated milk, and butter in a small sauce pan for 8 minutes, stirring constantly. Cool & stir in 1 tsp vanilla.
  5. Let cool completely, then spread over ice cream and peanuts. Freeze.
  6. Let freeze completely (at least a few hours) and then serve. Serving tip – run the knife under hot water first before slicing.

Cheese-and-Mushroom-Stuffed Meatballs



Ingredients
 1/2 C dried bread crumbs, 1.3 C whole milk, 1 lb ground sirloin, 1 1/2 t kosher salt (decrease to 1 t if using regular salt), black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, 1/6 lb colby jack cheese (about 1/3 of an 8 oz package) cut into 8 cubes
Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
  2. Add the milk to the bread crumbs and stir with a fork–mixture will be crumbly, but keep the chunks small.
  3. Add the ground sirloin, salt, and pepper, and mix until just combined.
  4. Divide the mixture into 8 equal-sized pieces and roll into balls.
  5. Indent each meatball with your thumb, insert a cube of cheese, and spread the meat around it until no cheese shows and you have a round meatball again.
  6. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with non-stick foil or with a non-stick surface.
  7. Bake the meatballs for 20-25 min or until the meatballs are browned. Serve hot while the cheese is still gooey.

Crock Pot Cheese Tortellini and Meatballs



Ingredients

1 (1 1/2 lb) bag frozen cheese tortellini
1 (1 1/2 lb) bag frozen italian style meatballs
1 (20 ounce) jar vodka sauce (or your favorite pasta sauce)
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or reduce or add to your taste)
1 tablespoon dried Italian seasoning, flakes
1 cup water
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
Directions:

1 Combine all ingredients except cheese in crock pot.
2 Cook on low for 6 hours.
3 Serve in bowls topped with cheese.
4 Can also serve with garlic bread and a salad.

Spicy Honey-Brushed Chicken Recipe



Ingredients
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
  • 8 skinless, boneless chicken thighs $
  • Cooking spray $
  • 6 tablespoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons cider vinegar
 

Preparation

  1. 1. Preheat broiler.
  2. 2. Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl. Add chicken to bowl; toss to coat. Place chicken on a broiler pan coated with cooking spray. Broil chicken 5 minutes on each side.
  3. 3. Combine honey and vinegar in a small bowl, stirring well. Remove chicken from oven; brush 1/4 cup honey mixture on chicken. Broil 1 minute. Remove chicken from oven and turn over. Brush chicken with remaining honey mixture. Broil 1 additional minute or until chicken is done.

Pasta Salad Recipe



Ingredients:

For Salad:
  • 2 cups cooked rotini pasta, drained
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper,finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 cup cubed provolone cheese
  • 1 carrot, cut into julienne strips
  • 1/4 cup minced red onion
  • 1 (2 1/4 oz.) can sliced pitted black olives
  • 1/4 pound salami, chopped
For Dressing:
  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • 4 tbsp fresh basil
Directions:
  1. Combine pasta, red pepper, green pepper, cheese, carrot, onion, olives and salami in a large bowl.
  2. Thoroughly mix the olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, sugar, mustard and basil in a small bowl.
  3. Pour dressing mixture over pasta.
  4. Toss to coat.
  5. Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours before serving.
  6. Pasta Salad is ready to serve.

Delicious Meatloaf Recipe



Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs ground beef (ground shoulder roast is good)
1 slice bread (broken or chopped finely)
1 egg
1 small onion , finely chopped
1 teaspoon table salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
4 tablespoons ketchup
1/2 cup whole milk
Sauce
4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
4 tablespoons dark brown sugar, packed firm (to taste)
1/2 cup ketchup

Directions
1. Combine meat loaf ingredients and place into a loaf baking dish.
2. Smooth out top.
3. Sauce: Combine sauce ingredients and pour on top and sides of meatloaf.
4. Bake at 350°F about 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes or until done. 170F with a meat thermometer.
